UNESCO actions in the areas of the WSIS Plan of Action
During the reading of the draft Policy, I am particularly interested in the assistance given by UNESCO, and especially that concerning ICT applications in the goal of education for all.
UNESCO encourages countries signatories to promote the use of software "Open Source" for the development of information and education but also to contribute to their development and dissemination. This action is based on the overall development of a model FHO (Open source software / free software) that promotes solidarity and cooperation among international institutions, programmers and users of computers and the Internet.
